Who am I
My name is Javier Alonso Perales and I’m a chef. For the last fifteen years, I have dedicated myself to the wonderful and painful world that is the kitchen.
I started professionally in 2006 as kitchen aid at the Iboo restaurant of Mario Sandoval while I was finishing my university degree in physical education….
A year later, Mack Kern and his waitress (whom I now call my beloved wife) hired me, not (just) for my experience but because I spoke English; I was his apprentice at TOMA until the summer of 2012.
That year, I made the leap to the world of restaurant entrepreneurs and opened restaurant L’Artisan Furansu Kitchen together with the chefs Stephane Shoji, Gisella Herrera and Gohei Kishi, where I was dining room manager, barman, mixólogist etc.
In between these jobs I have worked in other restaurants in Madrid as sous chef, advisor and other sporadic jobs until I decided to dedicate myself exclusively to organizing unique experiences in my clients’ homes.

Upon request I can offer anything from a romantic dinner for two to a family meal for 30, for meat-lovers or vegans, celiacs, people with intolerance or allergies to certain ingredients… Always tailor made to your event and the client.

Javi came to our apartment last night and cooked us an amazing meal for my husband’s birthday. He did everything, all we had to do was sit back and enjoy. He even gave my husband who loves to cook some lessons. We were able to enjoy the meal while our little one was fast asleep. Thank you Javi for giving us a special night.

Chef a Domicilio came to our house last week and cooked an amazing 3 course meal: very gastronomic, amazing flavour and creative combinations. With two young children we cannot go out to dinner often and this is a very original alternative: restaurant style food, no work involved for you and no need to leave the house! Javier was very friendly and made sure we had a relaxing gastronomic evening. He even left the kitchen cleaner than it was when he arrived! We will definitely call on his services again and recommend this for any couples that sometimes struggle to get to a restaurant in the evening.
